Spotify and Hulu Present a New Bundle Deal

Do you enjoy listening to music? Have you always wanted Hulu? Well now you can have both! On April 11, 2018, Hulu announced in a press release that it was partnering with Spotify to offer both premium services in a bundle for $12.99 per month. This deal is currently available to subscribers of Spotify Premium. It will be called Spotify Premium with Hulu and will be billed monthly from Spotify.

Although you can get a subscription to Hulu, it will be the Hulu Limited Commercial Plan, so you will have access to TV shows the day after broadcast, but it will be packed with commercials still.

Current Spotify Premium subscribers are able to take advantage of a special pricing for 99 Cents for 3 months, however you have to be eligible. I have been a Spotify Premium Subscriber since 2011, however my account was not eligible.

On September 7, 2017 Spotify announced in a press release a new deal for students called Spotify Premium for Students, now with Hulu. This deal for students is only $4.99 a month, and they get the same deal, with Spotify Premium and the Hulu Limited Commercial Plan. Due to the popularity of this student deal, they have decided to roll it out to the rest of us that aren’t in college.

If you are eligible and are currently a subscriber of Spotify Premium, the 99 cents deal is only good until May 10, 2018. This bundle will open up to people who are not current subscribers to Spotify Premium some time this year in the summer.

I tried this deal, but I then unsubscribed. As stated above, I have been a Spotify Premium subscriber since 2011. However, I have not used Hulu since it was free back when I was in high school. After browsing Hulu and it’s offerings, I don’t feel as though I need to be a customer. I have a cable subscription, so many of the shows they offer, I have the ability to get On Demand with my provider. Also, I was not interested in Hulu’s original series, and the user interface of the app was not as seamlessly designed as other providers of streaming services.

If you are one of the many people that have gone away from cable television, this might be a great deal for you, and you should at least check it out for yourself. I will continue to enjoy my Spotify Premium, because it has everything I need and I’m not paying for Sirius XM in my car.
